Maintenance Equipments Department is one of the technical departments associated to the Directorate of Technical Investment in the Directorate General of Civil Aviation.
In addition to manage and maintain the Information Technology Systems and programming modules, this department is responsible for the maintenance and monitoring of all airport instruments such as Electrical and Electronic Systems, Telecommunication Systems, Radar and Navigational -AIDS systems.
Maintenance Equipment Department consists of five divisions:
Responsible for the maintenance and monitoring of the ATC Radar systems, Instrument landings Systems, and Navigational- Aids Systems.
Responsible for the maintenance and monitoring of the Voice Communication System, Voice Recording Systems, Radio Links and VHF Transmitters/Receivers.
Telecommunication Systems Division is responsible for the maintenance and monitoring the operation of the office computers and Information Technology modules in the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, also, this division is responsible for the maintenance of the automation system in the Aeronautical Communication Center, the Central phone devices, and the Flights Information Display System.
Responsible for the Maintenance and Monitoring of the power generators, air conditioners, general lighting devices, airfield lighting devices, and everything linked with electric motors.
Develop maintenance programs and monitor the radio frequencies and consumption of materials, as well as the development of maintenance methods and training programs.
